WORK RULES, POLICIES, AND DIRECTIVES. SECTION 1. The Union recognizes that the Employer, in order to carry out its statutory and Charter mandates and goals, has the right to promulgate reasonable work rules, policies, procedures, and directives consistent with statutory and/or Charter authority, and not inconsistent with the provisions of this contract, to regulate the personal conduct of employees as such personal conduct relates to the legitimate interests of the Employer in carrying out its statutory and Charter mandates and goals.
