Work Day – Summer Break. All full-time custodial personnel shall work day turn during the summer break for the following hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Part time custodial personnel shall work 5 hour and 55 minute hours/day during the summer break.

Winter Break The Resident may apply to occupy a Room during the Winter Break period as detailed in Table 2. Winter Break applications will be made available to Residents by the Manager. Applications are due on or before December 1 at 5:00 p.m. If the Resident’s application is approved, they may be required to pay a small fee (detailed in Table 2) for Winter Break occupancy before the beginning of the Winter Break. During the Winter Break there is limited supervision of the Residence, all services are reduced or suspended, and annual maintenance and renovations may occur. To ensure the safety and security of the Resident and the Residence facilities it is the intention of the Manager to limit the number of Residents staying during the Winter Break to a small number of individuals that demonstrate a significant need for Residence accommodations. If the Resident is found occupying a Room during the Winter Break without having given written notice to the Manager, the Resident shall be subject to $30.00 for each day during the Winter Break period or $200.00 for the entire Winter Break, due immediately. Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
Work Breaks All employees covered by this agreement shall be permitted ten (10) minutes in the first half and ten (10) minutes in the second half of a shift for a coffee break on the job during regular working hours. If extended overtime is required, additional coffee breaks shall be permitted during such overtime after each two (2) hours following the conclusion of each overtime meal break. However, for a compressed work week schedule, employees shall be permitted a break of fifteen (15) minutes in the first half and fifteen (15) minutes in the second half of such shifts.
Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).
Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.
Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).
Four Day Work Week 28 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 29 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 30 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.
