Common use of Witness Service Clause in Contracts

Witness Service. 1. When an employee is under subpoena as a witness in connection with his official duties or is under subpoena as a witness in a court proceeding in which the employee is not a part to the litigation, he/she shall be eligible for Temporary Duty Elsewhere leave and shall receive regular compensation while on witness duty and shall remit to the Board in check or money order (no cash) the amount of fees, less travel allowance and other expense allowances, received for witness duty.
