Weekly Hire - Mechanical Plant Operators. The employer when terminating the employment of an operator shall give the employee the following notice: Period of Continuous Service Period of Notice One year or less One week Over one year & up to the completion of three years Two weeks Over three years & up to the completion of five years Three weeks Over five years Four weeks In addition to the above notice, employees over 45 years of age with not less than two years continuous service shall be entitled to an additional week’s notice.
