Water Treatment Plant Operator and Senior Water Treatment Operator. Water Treatment Plant Operators and Senior Water Treatment Operators hired after February 9, 1992 must obtain a Class "D" Water Treatment Operator license within eighteen (18) months of hire. Failure to secure such license shall result in the termination of employment. A Class "D" license must be obtained before advancing to the third pay progression step.
