  • WAGES AND HOURS Wage rates established at the beginning of the Work will not be changed without the approval of the Owner. The Work will be performed on a 40-hour week basis insofar as possible and no overtime will be worked without prior approval of the Owner. This Section shall not be applicable in the event that this Agreement provides for a lump-sum or unit price agreement for the Work.

  • WAGE AND HOURS PROVISIONS If this is a public work contract covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law or a building service contract covered by Article 9 thereof, neither Contractor's employees nor the employees of its subcontractors may be required or permitted to work more than the number of hours or days stated in said statutes, except as otherwise provided in the Labor Law and as set forth in prevailing wage and supplement schedules issued by the State Labor Department. Furthermore, Contractor and its subcontractors must pay at least the prevailing wage rate and pay or provide the prevailing supplements, including the premium rates for overtime pay, as determined by the State Labor Department in accordance with the Labor Law. Additionally, effective April 28, 2008, if this is a public work contract covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law, the Contractor understands and agrees that the filing of payrolls in a manner consistent with Subdivision 3-a of Section 220 of the Labor Law shall be a condition precedent to payment by the State of any State approved sums due and owing for work done upon the project.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAYS 5.1 An Employer may require employees to perform work in excess of their regularly assigned hours. All time worked by an employee before and after his regular shift on Monday to Friday inclusive, except as provided in Article 4 and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double time. Double time shall continue for all hours worked until the employee has had eight (8) consecutive hours off or longer if mutually agreed to by the employer and the employee.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate.

  • Payments Due on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays If the date of maturity of interest on or principal of the Securities of any series or the date fixed for redemption or repayment of any such Security shall not be a Business Day, then payment of interest or principal need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date of maturity or the date fixed for redemption, and no interest shall accrue for the period after such date.

  • Payment for Unused Sick Leave a. An employee with less than ten (10) years of continuous University service, as defined herein, who separates from the University shall not be paid for any unused sick leave. For employees appointed on or before 1/7/03 University service includes continuous employment by the University or the State of Florida.

  • Withholding for unpaid wages and liquidated damages The FHWA or the contacting agency shall upon its own action or upon written request of an authorized representative of the Department of Labor withhold or cause to be withheld, from any moneys payable on account of work performed by the contractor or subcontractor under any such contract or any other Federal contract with the same prime contractor, or any other federally-assisted contract subject to the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, which is held by the same prime contractor, such sums as may be determined to be necessary to satisfy any liabilities of such contractor or subcontractor for unpaid wages and liquidated damages as provided in the clause set forth in paragraph (2.) of this section.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 131. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays:

  • Shift and Weekend Premium (a) Effective July 1, 2019, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of ninety cents (90¢) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of 1500 hours and 0700 hours. Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of ninety-five cents (95¢) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of hours of 1500 hours and 0700 hours.
