Family emergencies of a nature that require an employee's immediate attention. 4. Unusual family obligations which could not normally be conducted by an employee during hours other than normally scheduled work hours. 5. Examinations such as medical, psychological, dental or optical examinations of the employee, or the employee's immediate family. 6. Weddings of members of the immediate family. 7. Religious holidays which fall on a normally scheduled work day for an employee. 8. Any other matter of a personal nature.

Uses of Personal Leave. Employees shall notify their principal as far in advance as possible of intended use. Personal leave use must be approved by both the Principal and Superintendent. Personal leave shall be restricted during a) in-service and/or parent/teacher conference days; b) the first or last week of the school year; or c) days immediately before or after holidays or vacations. In special circumstances approved by the Principal and Superintendent, employees may request the use of personal leave for the above-referenced restricted periods. Multiple personal leave requests for the same day may be granted at the discretion of the Principal and Superintendent. Substitute shall be paid by the District.

  • Use of Personal Leave An employee may use personal leave credits to conduct personal business that cannot be conducted outside of normal working hours and for personal emergencies.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments.
