Unsupported Maternity Leave. (a) An employee who is not eligible for Supported Maternity Leave may nevertheless qualify for Unsupported Maternity Leave (i.e. leave without pay). In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, an employee who has accrued at least 13 weeks of continuous service preceding her expected date of delivery is entitled to Unsupported Maternity Leave of up to 17 weeks, provided she submits a written request for such leave to her Manager/designate.
