Common use of Training Day Clause in Contracts

Training Day. Employees covered under this Agreement who are assigned to the overnight patrol shifts, who are attending training hours during the day, will not be required to work the night before training or the night shift on the day of training, unless the Chief determines that the staffing is needed due to operational needs of the department.

Training Day. Employees covered under this Agreement who are assigned to the overnight patrol shifts, who are attending training hours during the day, will not be required to work the night before the training or the night shift on the day of the training. Employees shall only be paid for hours actually worked, unless but night-­‐shift employees who elect not to work the Chief determines that the staffing is needed due shifts before or after a training day may opt to operational needs of the departmentuse comp time or vacation pay, if desired.
