Common use of Topics Clause in Contracts

Topics. The purpose of such meetings shall be to: 1. Discuss the administration of this agreement; 2. Notify the Union of changes contemplated by the Employer which will affect the members of the bargaining unit; 3. Discuss grievances which have not been processed beyond the final step of the grievance procedure, but only when such discussions are mutually agreed to by the parties; 4. Disseminate general information of interest to the parties; 5. Discuss ways to improve efficiency, including technology; 6. Give the Union representatives the opportunity to share the view of their members on topics of interest to both parties;
