Common use of Time Off to Attend Clause in Contracts

Time Off to Attend. An employee shall be permitted time off with pay to attend to the adjustment of a grievance and to be present at each step of a grievance concerning that employee; whether as a grievor, witness, or Union representative. It is understood that the employee shall attend to the adjustment of a grievance only when required. The employee shall notify her/his supervisor following the conditions stated in Article 6.03(b). In the event that the supervisor is absent, the employee shall notify the appropriate alternate.
