Time Off In Lieu (TOIL. (a) In lieu of receiving payment for overtime, employees may, with the consent of the employer, take time off for a period of time equivalent to the period worked in of ordinary rostered hours of duty. Time in lieu shall be taken at a time agreed to between employer and employee of the overtime being worked. (b) Any accrual of such leave shall be paid in accordance with this clause at the rate of pay which applied on the day the overtime was worked. (c) For the purposes of this clause, in accruing or calculating payment of overtime, each period of overtime shall stand alone. (d) Time off in lieu may only accumulate for 8 weeks following which it will be paid out at the appropriate overtime rate.
