The Troll transport cluster Sample Clauses

The Troll transport cluster. ‌ The Troll Field lies in the northern part of the Norwegian North Sea. It contains 40% of total gas reserves from within the Norwegian Continental Shelf and is, in addition, one of Norway’s largest oil-producing fields. The field has two main structures, Troll Øst and Troll Vest, where about two-thirds of the recoverable gas reserves lies in Troll Øst. A phased development of the field has been pursued: Phase I Recovery of gas in Troll Øst with the Troll A facility; a fixed wellhead and compression facility with a concrete substructure; Phase II Focusing on the oil reserves in Troll Vest. Developed with Troll B, a floating concrete accommodation and production facility, and Troll C, a semi-submersible accommodation and production steel facility. The oil is produced from several subsea templates tied back to Troll B and Troll C facilities. The Troll C facility is also utilised for production from the Fram Field; Phase III Recovering the gas cap above the Troll Vest oil zone. Gas production xxxxx will be drilled from two subsea templates connected to the Troll A facility. About 180 production xxxxx running through more than one million reservoir metres have been drilled so far. Rich gas from Troll Øst and Troll Vest is transported through three multiphase pipelines from the Troll A platform to the gas processing plant at Kollsnes. Associated gas from the oil, as well as the gas from the subsea templates in Troll Phase III is transported first to Troll A. At Kollsnes the condensate is separated from the gas and transported by pipeline to the Mongstad terminal. The dry gas is transported in export pipelines Zeepipe II A and II B to Zeebrugge in Belgium. The oil from Troll B and Troll C is transported in the Troll Oil Pipelines I and II, respectively, to the oil terminal at Mongstad. A Phase III development was announced by the operator, Equinor, in July 2018, targeting the gas at Troll Vest. The development is expected to prolong the plateau production beyond 2030 and extend the production at the Troll Field beyond 2050. The infrastructure for the Troll Fields and trajectory of sub-surface xxxxx is illustrated in Figure 9 and a map of the pipelines connecting fields and onshore facilities is shown in Figure 10.
