TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES. (1-17-12) 1105 SP11 R05 Revise the 2012 Standard Specifications as follows: Page 11-5, Article 1105-6 Measurement and Payment, add the following paragraph after line 24: Partial payments will be made on each payment estimate based on the following: 50% of the contract lump sum price bid will be paid on the first monthly estimate and the remaining 50% of the contract lump sum price bid will be paid on each subsequent estimate based on the percent of the project completed.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES. No funds shall be approved for expenditure on any Federal-aid highway, or highway affected under chapter 2, unless proper temporary traf- fic control devices to improve safety in work zones will be installed and maintained during construction, utility, and maintenance oper- ations on that portion of the highway with re- spect to which such expenditures are to be made. Installation and maintenance of the de- vices shall be in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

When bridges and culverts are re- moved, associated fills shall also be removed to the ex- tent necessary to permit normal maximum flow of water.

  • Traffic Control The Surveyor shall control traffic in and near surveying operations adequately to comply with provisions of the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI which can be found on the State’s internet site. In the event field crew personnel must divert traffic or close traveled lanes, a Traffic Control Plan based upon principles outlined in the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI shall be prepared by the Surveyor and approved by the State prior to commencement of field work. A copy of the approved plan shall be in the possession of field crew personnel on the job site at all times and shall be made available to the State’s personnel for inspection upon request.

  • Temporary Transfer Where an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying position in the bargaining unit, he shall be paid the rate in the higher salary range immediately above his current rate for all hours worked in the higher paying position. Where a Hospital temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities of a classification outside the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive an allowance of $4.00 for each shift from the time of the assignment.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff.
