Common use of Temporary Shift Assignments Clause in Contracts

Temporary Shift Assignments. Nothing herein shall restrict the employer's ability to adjust its work schedule at any time during the year to meet operational needs. The employer reserves the right to temporarily change a Correction Officer's shift assignment to accommodate changes in the work load and/or staff shortages. The employer will first reassign qualified Correction Officer Trainees or Officers with less than one year of service. If it becomes necessary to reassign other Officers for more than thirty (30) calendar days, the employer shall then re- post a list of all shift assignments for open bidding. This section shall not apply to light/alternative duty assignments.
