Temporary Shift Assignments. If, in approving the schedule for the following month, the nurse manager determines that it is necessary to schedule a nurse for a shift other than the nurse’s requested shift because there are no volunteers or per diem nurses available for that shift, the nurse may be assigned to that shift. The assignment shall be made on a monthly, rotating basis such that the next least senior nurse is selected for the next month, and so on until the shift can be filled.
