Suspension or Temporary Reassignment Before Notice of Discipline. (a) Prior to the service of a notice of discipline or the completion of the disciplinary procedure set forth in Section 33.5, an employee may be suspended without pay or temporarily reassigned by the appointing authority, or the authority’s designee, in his/her discretion, only pursuant to paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subdivision.
