Common use of Subcontractor Insurance Coverage Clause in Contracts

Subcontractor Insurance Coverage. Except where the State has approved in writing a Contractor subcontract with other insurance provisions, Contractor must require all of its Subcontractors under the Contract to purchase and maintain the insurance coverage as described in this Section for the Contractor in connection with the performance of work by those Subcontractors. Alternatively, Contractor may include any Subcontractors under Contractor’s insurance on the coverage required in this Section. Subcontractor must fully comply with the insurance coverage required in this Section. Failure of Subcontractor to comply with insurance requirements does not limit Contractor’s liability or responsibility.
