Staff Changes. 8.1 Appointments (a) Job Posting (i) Where vacancies exist or new positions are created, notice thereof will be posted electronically or on the Bulletin Boards and a copy provided to the Secretary of the Union, a period of eight (8) working days before the appointment is made. Such posting and notice shall contain the following information: nature of position, required ability, location, shift, hours of work, wage rate or salary range. The job description for the position shall be attached to the job posting. The Employer agrees to advise the Secretary of the Union and unsuccessful applicants in writing of the name(s) of the successful applicant(s) within five (5) working days of the appointment. Postings for Utilityperson vacancies will indicate the major emphasis of duties, e.g. buildings or grounds, while remaining flexible, and Utilityperson on staff may apply for the vacancy.
