SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION. 210. An employee who is absent because of an occupational or non-occupational disability (“disability leave”) and who is receiving Workers’ Compensation (Temporary Disability or Vocational Rehabilitation Maintenance Allowance) or State Disability Insurance (“disability indemnity pay”), may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave with pay credit balance at the time of disability, compensatory time off, or vacation, so as to equal the normal salary the employee would have earned for the regular work schedule. Use of compensatory time requires the employee’s appointing officer’s approval.
