Common use of Sick Day Usage Clause in Contracts

Sick Day Usage. The days may be used for the personal illness of the employee or the illness of a member of the employee’s immediate family. The days may also be used for doctor and dental appointments for the employee or members of his/her immediate family that cannot be scheduled outside the normal workday. The parties agree that should any employee contract mumps, scarlet fever, conjunctivitis, measles, chicken pox, or head lice and is absent from work because of such illness, such illness shall be covered by this section and the employee shall not be charged with loss of sick leave days.
