SICK DAY USAGE. The sick leave days may be taken by a bargaining unit member for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:
A. Sick leave shall be granted to an employee when he/she is incapacitated from the performance of his/her duties by personal illness, pregnancy, injury, or for medical, dental or optical examination or treatment.
B. The bargaining unit member shall be granted a maximum of four (4) days of paid leave for illness in the immediate family. Immediate family shall be interpreted as spouse, parent, children, grandchildren, father and mother-in-law, and grandparents.
SICK DAY USAGE. The sick leave days may be taken by a bargaining unit member for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:
SICK DAY USAGE. The days may be used for the personal illness of the employee or the illness of a member of the employee’s immediate family. The days may also be used for doctor and dental appointments for the employee or members of his/her immediate family that cannot be scheduled outside the normal workday. The parties agree that should any employee contract mumps, scarlet fever, conjunctivitis, measles, chicken pox, or head lice and is absent from work because of such illness, such illness shall be covered by this section and the employee shall not be charged with loss of sick leave days.
SICK DAY USAGE. Paid sick days may be used by employees for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:
(a) Paid sick days may be used in the event an employee is unable to work due to the employee’s personal illness, injury or disability.
(b) Up to three (3) paid sick days per fiscal year may be used in connection with the illness, injury or disability of an employee’s immediate family (defined as spouse and/or children).
(c) In the event an employee is unable to work due to an illness, injury or disability compensable under the Worker’s Disability Compensation Act, paid sick days may be used on a pro-rata basis to make up the difference between the employee’s workers compensation benefits and his/her regular pay.
(d) As a condition of receiving paid sick days, employees shall provide such evidence or verification of paid sick day eligibility as the Employer may reasonably require.
SICK DAY USAGE. The sick leave days may be taken by a bargaining unit member for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:
