Common use of Short-Term Disability (S.T Clause in Contracts

Short-Term Disability (S.T. D.) All full-time employees are covered from date of hire for up to seventeen (17) weeks. The full benefit period will be reinstated after an employee has returned to work for at least two (2) weeks, or if the subsequent illness is due to an unrelated illness. The Short-Term Disability (S.T.D.) Plan will provide the following benefit level: One hundred percent (100%) pay for the first ten (10) days of each calendar year. For the remainder of the seventeen (17) week period it will pay seventy-five percent (75%).
