Shift Break. It is intended that every employee shall have a full eight (8) hours break between shifts. In the event that an employee is recalled to work before such shift break has elapsed, he/she shall be considered as still working on his/her previous shift and shall be paid the appropriate overtime rates for work performed after recall. No employee shall be permitted to begin his/her next shift of his/her own accord until a full shift break has elapsed.

If any employee is instructed to report to work at a time later than his regular starting time to allow the eight hour break, the employee shall be paid for a full shift, for which he is reporting.
