Seniority Regarding Transportation During District Sponsored Trips. Whenever transportation is required for district-sponsored trips, preference will be given to current transportation employees in the classified bargaining unit prior to being offered to employees outside the classified bargaining unit. District-sponsored trips will be offered based on the Transportation Seniority Classification list, with the most senior employee being offered the first opportunity and then rotating the opportunities through the seniority list. Changes to the seniority list based on rotation schedule may be made when the affected employees agree to change rotations. In an emergency and/or unexpected situation, the Transportation Director may forego this process to provide immediate transportation for students and/or employees
