Scheduling of Overtime. In any case where no employee is available to work a shift or the extension of a shift at straight time, and the Employer thereupon determines that it is necessary to assign the work on an overtime basis, the following provisions will govern the assignment of the overtime. (a) Where the Employer's determination was made forty- eight (48) hours or more in advance of the start of the overtime shift, (i) the overtime hours will be offered to the most senior employee within the classification and department; (ii) if the most senior employee declines the offer, the overtime hours will be offered to other employees within the classification and department in the order of their seniority; (iii) if no employee within the classification and department is willing to work the overtime hours, the Employer may assign them to any other available employee without further restriction; and (b) Where the Employer's determination was made less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the start of the overtime shift, the overtime hours will be assigned in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph (a) of this Article 9.14, but subject to the following provisions: (i) The Employer shall not be required to offer the overtime hours to any employee who has already been assigned overtime work during the same week, until the overtime hours have been offered to, and refused by all other qualified employees who have not already been assigned overtime work during the same week; and (ii) The Employer shall not be required to call in a senior employee to work the overtime if there is a junior employee already at work and otherwise eligible to work the overtime hours as an extension of his shift.

(ii) The Employer shall Employees who do not be required make themselves available once they have provided the above written confirmation , will have their name removed from the availability list for the next 30 consecutive days and the employer is not obligated to call in them for overtime shifts.
iii) Employees will be paid only for hours worked.
iv) Sub ii will not apply where a senior employee to work person becomes unavailable for a bona-fide personal reason, which prevents them from accepting the overtime if there is a junior employee already at work and otherwise eligible to work the overtime hours as an extension of his shift.
