Common use of Scheduling Changes Clause in Contracts

Scheduling Changes. a. An employee whose previously approved vacation has been changed due to a critical operational necessity shall have the right, prior to filing a formal grievance pursuant to Article VIII, 1.1, to meet with the employee’s appropriate administrator and the appropriate Division Head to attempt to informally resolve the appropriateness of the vacation change. The meeting shall occur and the decision of the administrator shall be provided within five (5) days of the employee’s request for the meeting. Nothing herein shall alter the 15-day time limit for filing a written grievance as required by Article VIII, Section 8.0.
