Common use of Retention of Status Clause in Contracts

Retention of Status. A Permanent Employee who successfully bids for a Long Assignment, or a Short Assignment (if posted), shall be entitled to retain her status as a Permanent Employee, and shall be entitled to return to her former position. If the position no longer exists, the matter shall be referred to the Joint Committee on Technological Change.
