Common use of Relief Work Clause in Contracts

Relief Work. An employee who relieves a Depart­ ment Head for one (1) week or more will receive the minimum Department Head rate for the store involved, and he shall receive the progressive wage rates for such classification provided herein if he relieves long enough to be eligible.

Time spent on relief work shall be accumulated for the purpose of progression, that is, all periods of relief work shall be added together to determine the total time spent on relief work. Such time shall also be counted towards the progression in case of permanent promotion.
