Common use of REGULAR WORKDAY Clause in Contracts

REGULAR WORKDAY. ‌ Except for employees assigned to 40-hour per week classifications, a "regular workday" shall consist of seven (7) consecutive hours of work within a workday, exclusive of a one-hour unpaid meal period. A "regular workday" for employees assigned to 40-hour per week classifications shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours inclusive of a 30-minute meal period. The consecutive hour definition of workday above shall not include those departments or agencies where this is not current practice. The Union agrees that in the future it will not unreasonably withhold its approval of any further changes in the definition of workday.
