Registered or Licensed Contractor. The City is prohibited by RCW 39.06.010 from executing an Agreement with a Contractor who is not registered or licensed as required by the laws of the state. In addition, Anacortes Municipal Code requires that every person engaging in business within the city limits of Anacortes register their business with the state and include a City of Anacortes Endorsement. Businesses from outside city limits with a gross annual income of $2,000 in Anacortes are also required to obtain a city endorsement. Business licenses and city endorsements can be obtained through the State of Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) Business Licensing Service (BLS) at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx.
