Common use of Promotion/Upgrade Procedure Clause in Contracts

Promotion/Upgrade Procedure. a. When an employee is promoted to a different position of a higher pay grade from within the Clerical salary schedule, or from a different salary schedule, the employee shall receive a promotional increase percentage between five percent (5%) and ten percent (10%). Determination of the salary will be made by the Compensation & HRIS Department based on their review of the salaries. The resulting salary shall be no less than the minimum and no more than the maximum of the new pay grade.
