Prohibition on Trafficking in Persons. Grant award funds shall be used in compliance with the federal requirements against Prohibition on Trafficking persons found in the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA), as amended (22 U.S.C. 7104(g)), which prohibits grant award recipients or a subrecipient from: (1) Engaging in severe forms of trafficking in persons during the period of time that the award is in effect; (2) Procuring a commercial sex act during the period of time that the award is in effect; or (3) Using forced labor in the performance of the award or subawards under the award. The following language must be included in all subawards: “I. Trafficking in persons.

Any action, omission or attempted circumvention in violation of this Section 4.1 will be void ab initio and be deemed a breach of this Agreement. If any involuntary Transfer of any of the Covered Shares shall occur, the transferee (which term, as used herein, shall include any and all transferees and subsequent transferees of the initial transferee) shall take and hold such Covered Shares subject to all of the restrictions, liabilities and rights under this Agreement, which shall continue in full force and effect until valid termination of this Agreement.
