Principles Governing Tenure and Promotion Committees. 9.4.1 In formulating a committee’s recommendation on an application for tenure or promotion, members shall rate the candidate’s performance as “meets the standard” or “does not meet the standard” in each of the areas of teaching, service and, where applicable, scholarship.
