In accordance with the requirements of the Federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989, and the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, employees are strictly prohibited from the unlawful possession, use, distribution, or manufacture of alcohol, or controlled substances that are illegal under federal, state, or local law, on University owned or controlled property or during University sponsored activities, except for when authorized by the University.
