Pipe Lining Clause Samples
The "Pipe Lining" clause defines the requirements and procedures for installing, repairing, or maintaining pipelines within a project. Pipe Lining a. When used in sanitary sewer applications, ductile iron pipe and fittings shall be lined with 40 mils of Protecto 401 Ceramic Epoxy liner or equal. All bells and spigots shall be lined with a minimum of 8 mils of Protecto 401 or approved equal.
b. The liner shall meet the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Pipe Lining. A. Epoxy:
1. Unless otherwise specified, pipe and fittings shall be lined with a liquid epoxy as specified in AWWA C210 with the following exceptions: a. No coal tar products shall be incorporated in the liquid epoxy. b. The curing agent may be an amidoamine as well as the other curing agents listed in AWWA
2. The lining shall be applied to a minimum thickness of 16 mils in not less than two coats.
