Phone Response for Employees On-Call. Employees who receive telephone calls at home are responsible for logging all telephone calls in which they give advice or answer questions for the benefit of the Hospital. Employees shall be compensated for all such telephone time at one and one-half times their step wage with no minimums; except for those calls occurring between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for which a .3 hour (18 minutes) minimum shall apply. All such telephone calls must be placed by a manager or by a co-worker who has obtained their manager’s approval to place the telephone call. Logs of such telephone calls must be approved by the manager and turned in at the end of every pay period.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually.   • Transportation for Employees Transportation will be provided to employees who are required to work other than their normal working hours, and who must travel to or from their home during the hours between 11:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and when convenient public transportation or other transportation facilities are not available. An employee shall be reimbursed for the cost of commercial transportation within their headquarters area, upon presentation of receipts.

  • CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR EMPLOYEES The Contractor shall be responsible for the professional and technical competence of its employees and will select, for work under this Contract, reliable individuals who will perform effectively in the implementation of this Contract, respect the local customs, and conform to a high standard of moral and ethical conduct.
