Common use of Paid Rest Time Clause in Contracts

Paid Rest Time. An on-call employee, who works four (4) hours of call-out overtime between the hours of 12:00 am. and 8:00 a.m., shall be given a four (4) hour rest period prior to the commencement of his/her next regular scheduled tour of duty. If all or part of his/her four (4) hours overlaps the regular shift, he/she shall be paid those hours at regular rate. At the end of the rest period, the employee shall be required to report for duty for the duration of the scheduled tour.
