Definition of Spouse. The term Spouse includes a spouse under federal law as well as the following: . (Note: This definition shall apply for all Plan purposes OTHER than those mandated by Code §401(a) such as the required minimum distribution provides and qualified joint and survivor annuity provisions. For example, the selected definition will apply to the determination of default beneficiary provisions.)
Definition of Spouse. For the purposes of this Agreement, spouse designates legal spouse, common-law spouse, and same-sex partner of an employee, provided that the relationship between the couple meets the requirements of "common law" relationship as determined by the benefit plan insurers.
