Common use of Paid Jury, Witness Duty Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Jury, Witness Duty Leave. or Coroner’s Inquest The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an Employee who serves as a juror or witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such Employee the difference between his/her normal earnings and the payment he/she receives for jury service or court witness excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The Employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received. The Employee must be subpoenaed to attend a Coroner’s Inquest.
