OUT OF CLASS. WORK Out of class work is work having substantially similar duties and responsibilities as those of another permanent position (classification) with a higher maximum salary (the out of class work). While assigned, the employee shall receive at least a step increase or if the employee is at the maximum of the pay range shall receive a 3.5% increase in pay during the period so authorized, provided the following occurs:
