Common use of Operations Supervisor Clause in Contracts

Operations Supervisor. Contractor shall employ field-based Operations Supervisors such that one (1) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 52 weeks a year, deployed in an emergency response supervisor vehicle, to provide coverage only within Alameda County. These supervisors serve as the Contractor’s on-duty EMS Field Commanders and accordingly must be Paramedics who are highly experienced and competent both administratively and in the management of large and complex emergencies as demonstrated through extensive training in the Incident Command System (ICS). It is desirable that these supervisors are EMD certified by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch. The Operations Supervisor must be able to disseminate initial level corrective action and reports through the operational command structure. It is understood that not all actions are time sensitive and/or need to be approved at the highest levels of the Contractor’s management. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for real time, non-dispatch center initiated System Status Plan staffing adjustments, working to decrease turnaround times at receiving facilities. investigating vehicle and general liability issues, workers compensation issues, employee performance issues, and customer or stakeholder complaints The Operations Supervisor shall also: Integrate into an ICS structure, assisting with management of complex incident as needed or requested by partner agencies. Collaborate with EMS Agency Leadership and Prehospital Care Coordinators. Communicate with EMS Agency on-call staff Be responsible for delivery of supplies or equipment, but only for multi-casualty incidents and disaster responses. In the event that an Operations Supervisor fails to perform to the satisfaction of the EMS Director, Contractor shall timely appoint a suitable replacement.
