Common use of Open Positions Clause in Contracts

Open Positions. If there are any open bargaining unit position(s) at the time a 7 layoff is announced, the position shall be posted in accordance with Section (F) 8 in this Article. If the position remains vacant after five days, the position shall be 9 made available to nurses facing layoff.
