On-the-Job Training (OJT. On-the-job training prepares a member to effectively perform the responsibilities required of his or her position. It allows the member to learn his or her job duties, correct procedures and expected performance levels, under the immediate direction of an experienced worker. The conduct of such training is the responsibility of supervisors under the direction of the City Manager, or designee.

It allows the member to learn his or her job duties, correct procedures full and expected adequate performance levels, under the immediate direction of an experienced worker. The conduct of such training is the responsibility of supervisors under the direction of the City Managerjob; • Provides wage reimbursement to the employer for the extraordinary costs of providing the training and additional supervision related to the training; and • Is limited in duration as appropriate to the occupation for which the participant is being trained, or designeetaking into account the content of the training, the prior work experience of the participant, and the service strategy of the participant, as appropriate.
