Non-Traditional Work Schedules. In order to be able to implement some non-traditional work schedules (i.e. alternative work schedules, flexible work schedules, or flextime), and where consistent with Federal Law, the Employer may allow a full-time employee(s) to work less than forty (40) hours in a week and more than forty (40) hours in the other week within the same pay period. An employee(s) permitted to shift his/her work hours shall be eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time only after eighty (80) hours in an active pay status in a pay period. Employees may request to work alternative or flexible work schedules. The Employer agrees to consider alternative or flexible work schedules for particular employees or classifications. Non-Traditional Work Schedules. The district may recruit and hire employees in the Maintenance and Operations, Technological Support and Facilities Departments on a non-traditional (other than Monday through Friday) schedule in any vacant and/or new positions. Any employees hired on a traditional Monday through Friday work schedule will not be forced to work on a non-traditional schedule except when overtime provisions of this contract are utilized. For the employees employed on a non-traditional work schedule (other than Monday through Friday), for the time worked on Saturdays or Sundays, a 10% salary differential shall be paid.

When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.

  • NORMAL WORK SCHEDULES 112. Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, a “normal work day” is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours completed within not more than nine (9) hours. The normal work week for employees covered by this agreement is 40 hours.

  • Alternative Work Schedules Alternative work schedule means an approved schedule for an Employee that deviates from the work week described in Section 1, Section 2, or a schedule that deviates from a worksite’s normal schedule.   • Flexible Work Schedules (a) Academic Professional staff members throughout the University may have, as indicated below, flexible work schedules. For example, Academic Professionals often travel on University business and/or work evenings and weekends. A flexible work schedule is defined as having established working hours different from the standard 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday schedule, to be followed by an employee for an agreed upon period of time.

  • Alternative Work Schedule An alternate forty (40) hour work schedule (other than five (5) uniform and consecutive eight (8) hour days in a seven (7) day period), or for hospital personnel an eighty (80) hour workweek in a fourteen (14) day period and other mutually agreed upon schedules that comply with applicable federal and state law. Employee work schedules normally include two (2) consecutive days off.

  • Notice of Work Schedules (a) Work schedules for regular employees shall be posted at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the starting day of a new schedule.

  • Flexible Work Schedule A flexible work schedule is any schedule that is not a regular, alternate, 9/80, or 4/10 work schedule and where the employee is not scheduled to work more than 40 hours in the "workweek" as defined in Subsections F. and H., below.

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.

  • Alternate Work Schedule An alternate work schedule is any work schedule where an employee is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days per week, but the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days off are NOT Saturday and Sunday.
