Common use of Minimum Reporting Pay Clause in Contracts

Minimum Reporting Pay. The Employer agrees that an employee, upon reporting for work at the commencement of his regularly scheduled shift, unless notified in advance not to do so, or unless the employee is returning to work without notice after an absence, shall receive four (4) hours' work or four (4) hours' pay at his regular hourly rate. This provision shall not apply where the Employer is unable to supply work due to emergency circumstances beyond its control. Any employee so affected, shall take such work as is available in order to qualify for such four hours' pay. The Employer agrees that an employee who is called in for an emergency outside of her scheduled hours shall, upon reporting, receive four hours’ work or four hours pay at the appropriate rate.
