Common use of Mentoring Program Clause in Contracts

Mentoring Program. 12.5.1 The District will provide a mentoring program for new employees. The purpose of this program shall be to assist the new employee in developing and enhancing the knowledge and skills necessary for effective performance. All new employees shall be provided mentoring support for the first six (6) weeks of their employment. This mentoring may be provided by a mentor or lead in the employee’s field or position as delineated in Articles 11.4 and 11.6. 12.5.2 Each new school employee shall be assigned a mentor who agrees to meet with the new employee, demonstrate procedures and processes, and guide the new employee through the daily operation of a school or work location. 12.5.3 SEIU 925 and the District shall develop and implement the selection process, criteria and logistics for the mentoring program as delineated in Appendix H. 12.5.4 The parties agree to review the efficacy of the mentoring program in Labor/Management with any recommendation for changes or modifications.
