Membership in the Faculty Association. All new faculty employees shall, as a condition of employment, become and remain members in good standing of the Faculty Association. All employees within the bargaining unit of the Faculty Association who are already members of the Association shall, as a condition of employment, remain members in good standing of the Association. All employees within the bargaining unit of the Faculty Association who are not members of the Association at the date of signing of this Agreement may become members of the Association, but shall not be required to do so. If they chose to become members of the Faculty Association, they shall, as a condition of employment, remain members in good standing of the Association.

Membership in the Faculty Association. Employees represented by the Faculty Association shall become unit members on their first day of assigned duties. They shall continue s unit members during their entire period of employment.

  • MEMBERSHIP IN THE UNION It is the mutual desire of the Board and the Unit that all Teachers shall exercise their rights under this Collective Agreement, or the applicable Statutes of Ontario, in a professional and responsible manner without any fear of discrimination or recrimination.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • Illness in the Immediate Family ‌ An employee may use up to one-half of his or her annual sick leave allocation in any calendar year in the event of illness or a spouse, child, parent, or domestic partner. At the City's request the employee will provide satisfactory evidence of the facts justifying such absence.

  • Death in the Family The Administrator shall be entitled to a maximum of three (3) days at any one time in the event of an administrator’s son-in-law, daughter-in-law, father-in- law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, or grandparents death, and up to five (5) consecutive days leave in the event of the death of an administrator’s spouse, child, brother, sister, or parent.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.

  • Membership Dues Association membership dues, as explicitly approved by the Trustees;
