Mandatory Court Appearances. a. An employee subpoenaed to appear as a court witness shall be excused from his/her work assignment without loss of pay, provided that the employee shall submit any witness fee received to the School District Business Office along with a copy of the subpoena. In cases where the employee is a plaintiff or defendant to the action, absence will be without pay or, at the employee’s election, emergency leave as provided in Paragraph 4. An employee required to appear in court as a co-plaintiff or co-defendant with the District shall be released without loss of pay.
