Common use of Longevity Allowance Clause in Contracts

Longevity Allowance. Except for 2012-2013 in which no payments will be made, the payments designated below shall be made annually to teachers whose continuous service as a teacher in the district has reached the designated number of years by the last day of the school year. Time on unpaid leave shall not constitute a break in service but shall not be counted for the purpose of this payment. The teacher must have been employed through the final day of the school year; no proration of this benefit will be made.
